To Serve and Encourage
Christian Community Care (CCC) is a non-denominational organisation made up of volunteers wanting to make a difference in our community.
Our three C’s are like the trinity
- Christian – is what we are – Christ’s servants and ambassadors for Him
- Community – is where we go to reach out – where Christ went
- Care – is what we do. Because Christ cared for us,
we care for others
By Caring for someone in the Community we show them Christ.
History
CCC officially began in July 1999 as the result of a long term idea and one person’s passion to see those in need in the community cared for. From small beginnings as a food bank, it quickly outgrew it’s first and subsequent premises before themove to the current location at Puna o te Ora, 60 Kayes Road in Pukekohe.
God’s Faithfulness and Provision
The work of CCC has always been and still is, bathed in prayer as we consider this the most important part of our ministry. Many miracles have been witnessed. In the early days of CCC, freezers, benches, and tables for the food bank were donated and installed and still today much needed items appear. An empty food bank on a Saturday night is a full one by Monday lunch time. All of this happens despite CCC receiving no financial assistance other than by donation. We rely totally on the generosity of individuals, trusts, churches and businesses in the community.
